This page explains customs, import, export, carrier, and destination restrictions that may affect the availability or delivery of Sylvie Silk merchandise.
International shipments must comply with applicable United States export requirements, the laws of the destination country, and the rules of the selected carrier. An item may be prohibited entirely or restricted unless specific conditions, permits, documentation, packaging, or delivery methods are satisfied.
Sylvie Silk is operated by EVELYN SYLVIE Inc., doing business as SYLVIE SILK, located at 627 Locust Street, Roselle, New Jersey 07203, United States.
This policy applies to orders shipped outside the United States and to any domestic order involving a freight forwarder, international reshipper, diplomatic address, military address, or other delivery arrangement that may ultimately transport the merchandise across an international border.
This page should be read together with our:
The appearance of a country or territory in an address menu does not necessarily guarantee that every Sylvie Silk product can be delivered there.
Shipping availability may depend on:
Country-specific postal and carrier restrictions can differ, and carriers may suspend acceptance or delivery to certain destinations.
Sylvie Silk may limit, suspend, or decline delivery to a destination when lawful and reliable shipment cannot be arranged.
Customers must provide complete and accurate information necessary to process and deliver an order, including:
A carrier or customs authority may request additional documentation before releasing a shipment. Depending on the destination and type of shipment, documents may include a commercial invoice, proof of payment, identification number, tax number, certificate of origin, import authorization, or other supporting information.
Failure to provide requested information may result in delay, refusal, return, or non-delivery.
A prohibited good is an item that cannot legally be exported, transported, imported, delivered, or received in the relevant jurisdiction or through the selected carrier.
Sylvie Silk will not knowingly ship merchandise when the transaction, destination, recipient, product, material, or shipping method is prohibited by applicable law or carrier rules.
A restricted good may be shipped only when specified conditions are satisfied. Those conditions may include:
The European Commission notes that some sensitive goods—including certain textile products and clothing—may be subject to prohibitions, restrictions, licensing, notification, product-compliance, or labeling requirements.
Sylvie Silk will not knowingly ship:
A carrier may also prohibit or restrict hazardous or dangerous goods, including certain aerosols, flammable liquids, alcohol-containing products, chemicals, batteries, explosives, and similar materials. Sylvie Silk does not currently intend to include such materials in its ordinary silk merchandise, but carrier rules will be reviewed whenever a product or shipment may contain a regulated component.
Different destinations may impose requirements relating to textile composition, fiber labeling, country of origin, care labeling, product safety, packaging, language, children’s products, bedding, or other consumer-product information.
Sylvie Silk may restrict or delay international availability of a product until the applicable destination requirements have been reviewed and satisfied.
For products intended for infants, toddlers, or children, Sylvie Silk may limit delivery to jurisdictions where the product, labeling, warnings, and documentation meet applicable requirements.
EU border controls may involve both customs authorities and market-surveillance authorities to prevent noncompliant or unsafe products from entering the market.
Certain animal-derived, plant-derived, wildlife, wood, shell, feather, leather, or other natural materials may be regulated or may require permits in particular destinations.
International trade involving species protected under the Convention on International Trade in Endangered Species of Wild Fauna and Flora may be subject to permit or notification requirements.
When a Sylvie Silk product includes a material that may be subject to such controls, international delivery may be restricted until the material and destination requirements are confirmed.
Sylvie Silk will not knowingly use false material descriptions or omit regulated components from customs documentation.
Sylvie Silk will not process or ship an order when doing so would violate applicable United States sanctions, export controls, or trade restrictions.
United States sanctions programs may apply to particular countries, regions, governments, individuals, entities, transactions, or property. Some programs are geographically broad, while others target specific persons or organizations regardless of location.
An order may therefore be declined, canceled, blocked, or referred for additional review based on:
Sylvie Silk is not required to complete a transaction that would violate applicable law or expose the company, its payment providers, carriers, or service providers to legal or regulatory risk.
Sylvie Silk will prepare customs and shipping documentation using accurate information about the merchandise, including where applicable:
International customs forms require accurate and sufficiently detailed descriptions of package contents.
Sylvie Silk cannot:
Properly applied discounts may be reflected in commercial documentation where permitted.
Some products or destinations may require an import permit, license, notification, certificate, registration, or approval before the merchandise can be released.
When such authorization is the responsibility of the customer or recipient, the required document must be obtained and provided within the time requested by the carrier or customs authority.
Sylvie Silk may request evidence of authorization before accepting or shipping an order.
Where the necessary approval cannot be confirmed, Sylvie Silk may cancel the affected item or order and refund amounts collected for merchandise that has not been shipped.
Customs authorities may inspect documents, examine a package, request additional information, reassess the declared classification or value, or hold merchandise while clearance requirements are reviewed. The European Commission’s import guidance expressly describes documentary checks, requests for additional documents, and physical inspections as possible parts of customs clearance.
Sylvie Silk cannot guarantee:
A customs delay is not necessarily evidence that a package has been lost.
A shipment may be delayed, refused entry, returned, held, or otherwise acted upon when:
When merchandise is returned to Sylvie Silk, any refund will be determined after the merchandise is received and inspected.
To the extent permitted by applicable law, a refund may be reduced by nonrecoverable expenses caused by the failed delivery, including:
This section does not limit rights relating to merchandise that was damaged, defective, incorrect, materially misdescribed, or unlawfully supplied by Sylvie Silk, nor does it limit any nonwaivable consumer rights.
Sylvie Silk may cancel an order before shipment when:
When Sylvie Silk cancels an unshipped order for these reasons, amounts collected for the canceled merchandise and unused shipping services will be refunded to the original payment method, subject to applicable law and payment-processing procedures.
Sylvie Silk does not currently accept orders for delivery to the European Union.
Before EU sales are enabled, Sylvie Silk will review and implement the applicable customs, product-safety, labeling, consumer-protection, VAT, import, and market-access requirements.
EU customs systems may apply product-specific restrictions, import controls, permits, documentation requirements, sanctions, and other measures according to the tariff classification and origin of the goods.
This page and the relevant checkout information will be updated before EU delivery becomes available.
Customs rules, sanctions, carrier services, import restrictions, and product requirements may change.
Sylvie Silk may update:
to reflect changes in law, governmental guidance, carrier rules, product compliance, or business operations.
Availability shown during checkout at the time an order is submitted will govern, subject to mandatory applicable law and any subsequent legal or carrier restriction.
