Accessibility Statement

Last updated: July 20, 2026

Sylvie Silk is committed to providing a welcoming and accessible online experience for people with disabilities.

We seek to make sylviesilk.com usable by as many people as reasonably possible, including visitors who use screen readers, keyboard navigation, voice-recognition software, magnification, captions, or other assistive technologies.

Sylvie Silk is operated by:

  1. Scope of This Statement

This Accessibility Statement applies to the content, features, forms, online-store functions, and services provided directly through sylviesilk.com.

It does not necessarily apply to independently operated websites or services that may be reached through external links.

Third-party tools embedded within the Sylvie Silk website are addressed in Section 7 below.

  1. Our Accessibility Goal

Sylvie Silk uses the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines, version 2.2, Level AA, as a technical reference and ongoing improvement objective.

These guidelines address accessibility for people with a wide range of visual, auditory, physical, speech, cognitive, language, learning, and neurological disabilities.

Accessibility is an ongoing process. Because sylviesilk.com is being developed and updated, and because every page and third-party component has not yet undergone a complete independent accessibility audit, Sylvie Silk does not currently represent that every part of the website fully conforms to WCAG 2.2 Level AA.

We will continue reviewing and improving the website as content, products, technologies, and services are added.

  1. Accessibility Measures

Sylvie Silk seeks to incorporate accessibility into the design, development, maintenance, and content-management processes for the website.

Website Structure and Navigation

Our efforts include working toward:

  • a logical heading structure;
  • consistent navigation;
  • descriptive page titles;
  • meaningful link text;
  • visible keyboard focus;
  • keyboard access to interactive functions;
  • clear labels and instructions; and
  • layouts that adapt to desktop, tablet, and mobile screens.

Text, Color, and Visual Presentation

We seek to provide:

  • readable typography;
  • sufficient contrast between text and backgrounds;
  • information that does not depend only on color;
  • content that remains understandable when enlarged;
  • appropriate spacing between text, headings, links, and controls; and
  • layouts that reflow at smaller screen sizes when reasonably possible.

Images and Product Photography

Sylvie Silk uses original photography to document silk fabrics, products, textures, colors, construction, and details.

We seek to provide meaningful alternative text for informative images and to treat purely decorative images appropriately so that they do not create unnecessary repetition for screen-reader users.

Because silk color, sheen, transparency, weave, and texture are highly visual, written product descriptions are also intended to communicate important information shown in the photographs.

Forms, Accounts, and Checkout

We seek to make forms and online-store functions understandable and usable by providing, where applicable:

  • identifiable form labels;
  • clear instructions;
  • understandable error messages;
  • keyboard-operable controls;
  • information about required fields;
  • order-review opportunities before submission; and
  • confirmation after a form or transaction has been completed.

Audio and Video

When Sylvie Silk publishes video or audio containing meaningful spoken or visual information, we will seek to provide appropriate accessibility support, such as:

  • captions;
  • transcripts;
  • descriptive text; or
  • another reasonable alternative format.

The appropriate format may depend on the purpose and content of the media.

  1. Accessible Shopping and Customer Assistance

A visitor who experiences difficulty accessing product information, creating an account, using the shopping cart, completing checkout, requesting a return, or using another website function may contact Sylvie Silk for assistance.

We will make reasonable efforts to:

  • provide product or policy information in another accessible format;
  • explain available sizes, colors, materials, or product details;
  • help identify an accessible method for submitting a request;
  • assist with customer-service and return questions; and
  • provide another reasonable method of communication when available.

The availability of a particular alternative may depend on the nature of the request, applicable security requirements, and the transaction involved.

  1. Browser and Assistive-Technology Compatibility

Sylvie Silk seeks to design the website for use with reasonably current versions of commonly used:

  • web browsers;
  • operating systems;
  • screen readers;
  • keyboard-navigation tools;
  • screen-magnification software;
  • voice-recognition technology; and
  • mobile accessibility features.

Accessibility may vary depending on the combination of browser, device, operating system, assistive technology, personal settings, and third-party software being used.

Using a reasonably current browser and assistive-technology version may provide a better experience and improved security.

  1. Documents and Downloadable Content

Sylvie Silk may occasionally provide downloadable documents, care instructions, forms, or other files.

We seek to make newly published documents accessible or to provide the same essential information in an accessible webpage format.

A visitor who cannot access a document may request the information in another reasonably available format by contacting customercare@sylviesilk.com.

Please identify the document and the format or assistance needed.

  1. Third-Party Content and Services

Some website functions may be supplied or supported by third parties, including:

  • payment processors;
  • shipping carriers;
  • account or authentication services;
  • fraud-prevention providers;
  • embedded media;
  • review platforms;
  • maps;
  • social-media services;
  • customer-service tools; and
  • cookie-management technology.

Sylvie Silk may not control every aspect of the accessibility, coding, interface, or update schedule of an independently operated service.

We seek to select and configure third-party services with accessibility in mind and to communicate accessibility concerns to the applicable provider when appropriate.

A visitor who encounters difficulty with a third-party feature should contact Sylvie Silk so that we can investigate and, where reasonably possible, provide assistance or identify an alternative method.

  1. Known and Potential Limitations

Sylvie Silk is currently developing, reviewing, and expanding sylviesilk.com.

Some newly added, older, embedded, or third-party content may not yet work equally well with every browser or assistive-technology combination.

Potential limitations may include:

  • third-party widgets outside our complete control;
  • newly published pages awaiting accessibility review;
  • images awaiting improved alternative text;
  • video awaiting captions, transcripts, or descriptive information;
  • downloadable documents that require remediation;
  • forms or checkout components supplied by external providers; and
  • older or archived content created before current accessibility procedures were established.

This list does not mean that every stated limitation is present on every page.

As specific accessibility barriers are confirmed, Sylvie Silk will seek to correct them, provide an alternative where reasonably possible, and update this statement when useful.

  1. Reporting an Accessibility Barrier

We welcome feedback from visitors who encounter an accessibility problem.

Please contact:

Email: customercare@sylviesilk.com
Telephone: +1 917 669 5976

Use the email subject line:

Website Accessibility Feedback

Helpful Information

Providing the following information may help us investigate:

  • the webpage or feature involved;
  • the task you were attempting to complete;
  • a brief description of the difficulty;
  • the device and browser being used;
  • the assistive technology being used, when you are comfortable sharing it; and
  • the best method for contacting you.

You are not required to provide details about a disability or medical condition to report an accessibility barrier.

  1. Our Response to Feedback

When an accessibility concern is reported, Sylvie Silk will seek to:

  1. acknowledge and review the concern;
  2. identify the affected page or function;
  3. investigate the reported barrier;
  4. provide reasonable interim assistance when available;
  5. determine whether a correction or alternative can be implemented; and
  6. communicate relevant progress or resolution to the person who reported it.

The time needed to investigate may depend on the complexity of the issue, the technology involved, and whether an external service provider must participate.

  1. Escalation of an Accessibility Concern

A person who believes that an accessibility concern has not been adequately addressed may request further review by emailing:

legal@sylviesilk.com

Use the subject line:

Accessibility Concern — Request for Review

Please include the earlier correspondence or enough information for Sylvie Silk to identify the original request.

  1. Ongoing Review

Accessibility is considered during the continuing development and maintenance of sylviesilk.com.

Our efforts may include:

  • reviewing newly created pages;
  • checking heading hierarchy;
  • evaluating color contrast;
  • checking image descriptions;
  • testing keyboard navigation;
  • reviewing forms and error messages;
  • evaluating mobile presentation;
  • reviewing captions and transcripts;
  • testing important purchasing functions; and
  • considering feedback from people who use assistive technologies.

Automated testing may assist in identifying certain issues, but it cannot identify every accessibility barrier. Human review and user feedback remain important parts of the process.

  1. Changes to This Accessibility Statement

Sylvie Silk may update this statement to reflect:

  • improvements to the website;
  • newly identified limitations;
  • accessibility testing;
  • changes in technology;
  • new products or services;
  • changes to third-party tools;
  • visitor feedback; or
  • applicable legal or technical developments.

The revised statement will be posted on this page with an updated revision date.
